BIODIVERSE MIXTURE COMPOSED OF OATS, RYEGRASS, VETCH AND ANNUAL CLOVER
Characteristics
. Very fast establishment in early sowing.
. Rapid growth autumn/winter.
. Tolerates moderate grazing before oat stalk growth.
Reasons for sowing
. Increased production of high quality dry matter of 8 to 15 ton/ha
. Ideal for farms that wish to combine quantity and quality in a single cut
. Allows production of silage and haylage richer in fiber and with good protein content
AVEX Handling
. The first cut* (by grazing or mechanical), when ryegrass has 8-9 leaves, improves the crop’s homogeneity and controls weeds, improving its floristic composition
. When cutting for hay or silage animals should be removed and let the crop rest in order to obtain a higher fodder production when cut
